1.50% of academic staff and 60% of non-academic staff have benefited from staff development. 2. Laboratory equipment inspected meets specifications to about 60% but less than 70%. 3. Staff offices are slightly equipped. 4. Library holdings are of good quality but inadequate in number and coverage. 5. Funding for the programme is adequate.

1. All staff should be encouraged to benefit from staff development programme. 2. The University should procure more farm equipment for the programme such as tractors, plough, ridgers and laboratory equipment such as hydrometers and soil thermometers. 3. All staff offices should be well equipped with bookshelves and file cabinets. 4. More recent textbooks and journals in soil science and agricultural extension should be procured for the programme. 5. The University should ensure very adequate funding for the programme.

The total score for the programme is 88.80%. It scored 36 (97.30%) in Academic Matters, 30 (85.71%) in Staffing, 22 (81.48%) in Physical Facilities, 16 (88.89%) in Library. The programme scored 2 (66.67%) in Funding, 3 (100.00%) in Research and Collaborations and 2 (100.00%) in Employers’ Rating. Based on the fact that the programme scored up to 70% and above in all four core components (Academic Matters, Staffing, Physical Facilities and Library), the Panel recommended FULL accreditation status for the Programme.
