1. There is no inclusion of innovative courses in the curriculum for the programme.

2. There is no External Examiners’ system for the programme.

3. Internal quality assurance system is ineffective, as there is no evidence of minutes of meetings.

4. Only 41.3% of academic and 50% of non-teaching staff benefitted from staff development programmes.

5. There is no active internet connectivity for the programme.

6. Funding for the programme is inadequate.

 

1. There should be at least four (4) or more innovative courses in the curriculum for the programme.

2. The University should ensure that there is External Examiners’ system with qualified assessors for the programme.

3. There should be effective internal quality assurance system with evidence of minute of meetings.

4. The University should ensure that all academic and non-academic staff benefit from staff development programme.

5. The University should provide active internet connectivity for the programme.

6. The programme should be adequately funded.

 

The total score for the programme is 79.27%. It scored 28.5 (77.03%)  in Academic Matters, 27 (82%) in Staffing, 22 (81.48%) in Physical Facilities, 14 (0%) in Library. The programme scored 2 (0.00%) in Funding, 2 (0.00%) in Research and Collaborations and 2 (0.00%) in Employers’ Rating. Based on the fact that the programme scored up to 70% and above in all four core components (Academic Matters, Staffing, Physical Facilities and Library), the Panel recommended  FULL accreditation status for the Programme.

B.    APPROVAL BY THE COMMISSION

Based on further analysis of the report, the Commission upholds the recommendation of  FULL accreditation status for the Programme
