1. The proportion staff core to subject area is inadequate for the programme.

2. Only 68% of academic staff have Ph.D qualification for the programme.

3. Only 56% of academic staff have Ph.D. qualification for the programme.

4. There is only one subscription to an active database for the programme.

5. The output of research and collaboration is not multidisciplinary for the programme.

6. Funding for the programme is inadequate

 

1. The University should recruit adequate number of staff core to subject areas for the programme.

2. There should be two or more subscription to active databases for the programme.

3. The University should ensure that all academic have Ph.D. for the programme.

4. The University should ensure that all academic staff have Ph.D qualification as prescribed by the BMAS.

5. The output of research and collaboration should be multi-disciplinary for the programme.

6. The programme should be adequately funded.

 

The total score for the programme is 82.14%. It scored 25 (96.15%)  in Academic Matters, 27 (82%) in Staffing, 21 (77.78%) in Physical Facilities, 13 (72.22%) in Library. The programme scored 2 (66.67%) in Funding, 2 (66.67%) in Research and Collaborations and 2 (100.00%) in Employers’ Rating. Based on the fact that the programme scored up to 70% and above in all four core components (Academic Matters, Staffing, Physical Facilities and Library), the Panel recommended  FULL accreditation status for the Programme.

B.    APPROVAL BY THE COMMISSION

Based on further analysis of the report, the Commission upholds the recommendation of  FULL accreditation status for the Programme
