DEFICIENCIES

REMEDIES

1. The Department has not complied with CCMAS Guidelines for 100L and 200L.
2. Some students admitted into the programme did not meet the admission requirements.
3. Test and Examination are of good standard but do not cover the curriculum.
4. The Sensory Evaluation Laboratory is inadequate in space.
5. Fire extinguishers and sand buckets are inadequate in number.
6. Academic Staff Offices are inadequate in space.

 

1. The University should ensure compliance with the CCMAS Guidelines for 100L and 200L
2. The University should ensure that all students admitted into the programme meet the admission requirements.
3. The University should ensure that Test and Examination are of good standard and cover the curriculum
4. The Sensory Evaluation Laboratory should be provided with adequate space.
5. Adequate Fire extinguishers and sand buckets should be provided.
6. More spacious offices should be provided for academic staff members.

 

The total score for the programme is 79.20%. It scored 31 (83.78%)  in Academic Matters, 27 (77.14%) in Staffing, 21 (77.78%) in Physical Facilities, 14 (77.78%) in Library. The programme scored 2 (66.67%) in Funding, 2 (66.67%) in Research and Collaborations and 2 (100.00%) in Employers’ Rating. Based on the fact that the programme scored up to 70% and above in all four core components (Academic Matters, Staffing, Physical Facilities and Library), the Panel recommended  FULL accreditation status for the Programme.

B.    APPROVAL BY THE COMMISSION

Based on further analysis of the report, the Commission upholds the recommendation of  FULL accreditation status for the Programme
