1. Some relevant equipment for the programme, such as; Radial flow turbine. Radial flow pump and 3D- earth resistivity meter, are not available.

2. Less than 70% of Academic and non- academic staff benefited from staff development programme.

3. Only 58.6% of staff core to the programme has Ph.D,

4. Only 67.4% of the teaching staff are core to the programme.

5. There are no public address system and interactive board in the classrooms.

 

1. The University should endeavor to provide the relevant equipment such as : Radial flow turbine. Radial flow pump and 3D- earth resistivity meter to the respective laboratories.

2. The University should ensure that at least 70% of academic and non-academic staff benefit from staff development programme.

3. The University should ensure that at least 70% of the staff who are core to the programme have Ph.D.

4. The University should ensure that at least 75% of the teaching staff are core to the programme.

5. The University should ensure the provision of public address system and interactive board to the classrooms.

 

The total score for the programme is 83.20%. It scored 31 (83.78%)  in Academic Matters, 27 (78%) in Staffing, 23 (85.19%) in Physical Facilities, 18 (100.00%) in Library. The programme scored 1 (33.33%) in Funding, 3 (100.00%) in Research and Collaborations and 1 (50.00%) in Employers’ Rating. Based on the fact that the programme scored up to 70% and above in all four core components (Academic Matters, Staffing, Physical Facilities and Library), the Panel recommended  FULL accreditation status for the Programme.

B.    APPROVAL BY THE COMMISSION

Based on further analysis of the report, the Commission upholds the recommendation of  FULL accreditation status for the Programme
