1) The department lack junior academic staff for the programme.

2) The department lack teaching aid such as multimedia systems.
3) The building/offices appeared old and not comfortable for research.
4) Inadequate funding for the department.
5) There no multi-disciplinary approaches in research.

 

1) The University should employ more junior academic staff to meet up with the shortfall in this category.
2) The University should make effort to procure multimedia systems to enhance teaching and learning.
3) The University should make effort to renovate the office complex to make it comfortable for research.
4) The University should provide more funds for the programme.
5) The department should adopt multi-disciplinary approaches in the programme.

 

The total score for the programme is 96.33%. It scored 32 (100.00%)  in Academic Matters, 35 (100.00%) in Staffing, 14 (87.50%) in Physical Facilities, 18 (100.00%) in Library. The programme scored 2 (66.67%) in Funding, 2 (66.67%) in Research and Collaborations and 2 (100.00%) in Employers’ Rating. Based on the fact that the programme scored up to 70% and above in all four core components (Academic Matters, Staffing, Physical Facilities and Library), the Panel recommended  FULL accreditation status for the Programme.

Based on further analysis of the report, the Commission upholds the recommendation of  FULL accreditation status for the Programme
