Academic regulations is not well publicized, students only have it in soft copies
Marking scheme in PHS 311 is inconsistent
Staff mix by rank of 8:34:58 is not adequate for the programme
38% of the academic does not PhD
Non-teaching staff are not adequate in number
36% of academic and 50% of the non-academic staff have not benefitted from staff development programme
The 500 seat lecture hall does not have projector and public address system
staff offices are not adequately equipped with book shelves and cabinets.
Sand buckets are not adequate in number
Some of books in the Physical library (Guyton and Ganong) are not adequate in currency
The internet connectivity is relatively slow

 

A well publicised academic regulations in soft and hard copies are given to the students by the University
The University should ensure a consistent marking scheme
Staff mix by rank of 20:35:45 should be adhere to by the University
The University should ensure that all the academic staff have PhD
Adequate number of non-teaching staff should be recruited for the programme
the University should ensure that all staff academic and non-academic benefit from staff development programme
The University should provide projector and public address system for the lecture hall
A well equipped staff offices with book shelves and cabinets should be provided for the programme
Adequate number of sand bucket should be provided by the University
The University should provide current books (Guyton and Ganong) for the programme
A fast internet facility should be provided for the programme

 

The total score for the programme is 82.40%. It scored 34 (91.89%)  in Academic Matters, 27 (77%) in Staffing, 20 (74%) in Physical Facilities, 15 (83%) in Library. The programme scored 2 (67%) in Funding, 3 (100.00%) in Research and Collaborations and 2 (100.00%) in Employers’ Rating. Based on the fact that the programme scored up to 70% and above in all four core components (Academic Matters, Staffing, Physical Facilities and Library), the Panel recommended  FULL accreditation status for the Programme.

B.    APPROVAL BY THE COMMISSION

Based on further analysis of the report, the Commission upholds the recommendation of  FULL accreditation status for the Programme
