DEFICIENCIES

REMEDIES

1. Examination questions are direct and not applied in nature.
2. 57.1% of the academic staff and all the non-teaching staff have not benefitted from Staff Development Programme in the last three years.
3. Some fire extinguishers are expired and sand buckets are not available.
4. Physical library books and journals are inadequate in number. Texts in Basic Network Administration are not available.
5. The University subscribes to only on relevant database.

 

1. The University should ensure that applied questions are included in examinations.
2. The University should ensure that all staff benefit from Staff Development Programme.
3. The University should ensure that sand buckets and functional fire extinguishers are installed at strategic locations for the programme.
4. More books and journals should be procured for the programme.
5. The University should ensure that additional database is subscribed to.

 

The total score for the programme is 85.95%. It scored 32 (96.97%)  in Academic Matters, 27 (77.14%) in Staffing, 24 (88.89%) in Physical Facilities, 14 (77.78%) in Library. The programme scored 2 (66.67%) in Funding, 3 (100.00%) in Research and Collaborations and 2 (100.00%) in Employers’ Rating. Based on the fact that the programme scored up to 70% and above in all four core components (Academic Matters, Staffing, Physical Facilities and Library), the Panel recommended  FULL accreditation status for the Programme.

B.    APPROVAL BY THE COMMISSION

Based on further analysis of the report, the Commission upholds the recommendation of  FULL accreditation status for the Programme
