DEFICIENCIES

REMEDIES

1. Examination questions are direct and not applied in nature.
2. 57.1% of the academic staff and all the non-teaching staff have not benefitted from Staff Development Programme in the last three years.
3. Dust blowers are not available in the hard ware laboratory.
4. Some fire extinguishers are expired and sand buckets are not available.
5.Physical library books and journals are inadequate in number. There are no texts in Operating System and Software Engineering.
6. The programme subscribes to only one relevant database.

 

1. The University should ensure that examination questions are applied in nature.
2. The University should ensure that all staff benefit from Staff Development Programme.
3. Dust blowers should be provided in the hard ware laboratory.
4. The University should ensure that functional fire extinguishers and sand buckets are installed at strategic locations for the programme.
5. More books should be procured for the programme.
6. The University should ensure that additional database is subscribed to.

 

The total score for the programme is 85.95%. It scored 32 (96.97%)  in Academic Matters, 27 (77.14%) in Staffing, 24 (88.89%) in Physical Facilities, 14 (77.78%) in Library. The programme scored 2 (66.67%) in Funding, 3 (100.00%) in Research and Collaborations and 2 (100.00%) in Employers’ Rating. Based on the fact that the programme scored up to 70% and above in all four core components (Academic Matters, Staffing, Physical Facilities and Library), the Panel recommended  FULL accreditation status for the Programme.

B.    APPROVAL BY THE COMMISSION

Based on further analysis of the report, the Commission upholds the recommendation of  FULL accreditation status for the Programme
