1. There are no innovative courses included in the curriculum.
2. The curriculum is not adequately covered in the tests and examinations.

3. External examiners engaged are not core to the subject area.
4. Staff mix by rank of 50:17:33 does not meet the NUC guidelines.

5. 63% of teaching staff have Ph.D.

6. There exist only one non-teaching staff for the programme.
7. 67% of teaching staff have benefitted from the staff development programme.

8. Non-teaching staff have not benefited from staff development programme.

9.Staff offices are poorly equipped.

10. Texts and journals are not adequate in number and coverage.

11. Funding is inadequate

The total score for the programme is 74.40%. It scored 27.5 (74%)  in Academic Matters, 26 (74%) in Staffing, 22.5 (83.33%) in Physical Facilities, 13 (72.22%) in Library. The programme scored 1 (33.33%) in Funding, 1 (33.33%) in Research and Collaborations and 2 (100.00%) in Employers’ Rating. Based on the fact that the programme scored up to 70% and above in all four core components (Academic Matters, Staffing, Physical Facilities and Library), the Panel recommended  FULL accreditation status for the Programme.

B.    APPROVAL BY THE COMMISSION

Based on further analysis of the report, the Commission upholds the recommendation of  FULL accreditation status for the Programme
