1. the curriculum for the is inadequate as some core courses like BIO 101, STA 452, MIT 241 are Omitted from the Curriculum.

2. the coverage of the curriculum in terms of questions papers is substantially covered.

3. practical’s conducted do not cover the curriculum.

4. evaluation of skill Acquisition is of the average for both hard and soft skills relevant to the programme

5. 100% of the non- academic staff have not benefited from staff development in the past three years

6. Research and Collaborations exist but there’s no evidence of multidisciplinary approach

 

1. the University should ensure that the curriculum for the programme is adequately covered with the inclusion BIO (GENERAL BIOLOGY) STA 452 PSYCHOMETRY MIT241 (ORDINARY DIFFERENTIALS), STA221 to meet up with the BMASS and CCMAS requirement.

2.The university should ensure that coverage of the curriculum in terms of questions papers are adequately covered.

3. the University should ensure that practical’s conducted should fully cover the curriculum adequately.

4. The University should make-sure that students are exposes to more hard & soft skills relevant to the programme.

5. The University should ensure that all non-academic staff benefit from staff development programme.

6. Research and Collaborations with other universities, institutions and other bodies should be encourage

 

The total score for the programme is 82.8%. It scored 37 (74.3%)  in Academic Matters, 35 (89%) in Staffing, 27 (92.5%) in Physical Facilities, 18 (77.7%) in Library. The programme scored 3 (66.66%) in Funding, 3 (66.66%) in Research and Collaborations and 2 (100.00%) in Employers’ Rating. Based on the fact that the programme scored up to 70% and above in all four core components (Academic Matters, Staffing, Physical Facilities and Library), the Panel recommended  FULL accreditation status for the Programme.

B.    APPROVAL BY THE COMMISSION

Based on further analysis of the report, the Commission upholds the recommendation of  FULL accreditation status for the Programme
