REMEDIES

1. Practical work conducted is inadequate, not well supervised and does not adequate cover the curriculum.
2. 60% of the academic and non-teaching staff have not benefitted from the staff development programme.
3. Library boos and journals are not adequate in numbers
4.Funding for the programme is not adequate

2. The university should ensure that all academic and non-teaching staff benefit from staff the development programme
3. More books and journal should be procured for the programme
4. funding for the programme should be furthermore improved

 

The total score for the programme is 80.80%. It scored 32 (86.49%)  in Academic Matters, 26 (74.29%) in Staffing, 25 (92.59%) in Physical Facilities, 14 (77.78%) in Library. The programme scored 1 (33.33%) in Funding, 2 (66.67%) in Research and Collaborations and 1 (50.00%) in Employers’ Rating. Based on the fact that the programme scored up to 70% and above in all four core components (Academic Matters, Staffing, Physical Facilities and Library), the Panel recommended  FULL accreditation status for the Programme.

Based on further analysis of the report, the Commission upholds the recommendation of  FULL accreditation status for the Programme
