1. The staff/students ratio of 1;5.3 does not meet the
NUC approved guidelines in for the discipline.

2. The staff mix by rank of 31;46;23 does not meet
the NUC approved guidelines in one category.

3. 41% of the academic staff have not benefited from
Staff Development Programme.

4. 60% of the non – academic staff have not
benefited from Staff Development Programme.

1. The University should ensure a staff/students ration
of 1;30 in line with the NUC approved guidelines.

2. The University should ensure a staff mix by rank of
20;35;45 in line with the NUC approved guidelines.
3. The University should ensure that all academic
staff benefit from Staff Development Programme.

4. The University should ensure that all non –
academic staff benefit from Staff Development
Programme.

 

The total score for the programme is 89.60%. It scored 33 (88.19%)  in Academic Matters, 29 (83%) in Staffing, 26 (97.3%) in Physical Facilities, 18 (100%) in Library. The programme scored 1.5 (51%) in Funding, 3 (100.00%) in Research and Collaborations and 1.5 (76%) in Employers’ Rating. Based on the fact that the programme scored up to 70% and above in all four core components (Academic Matters, Staffing, Physical Facilities and Library), the Panel recommended  FULL accreditation status for the Programme.

B.    APPROVAL BY THE COMMISSION

Based on further analysis of the report, the Commission upholds the recommendation of  FULL accreditation status for the Programme
