REMEDIES

1. The time allotted to attempt questions on a 3-credit
unit course is not sufficient.
2. The Staff mix of 33.3:26.7:40 is top heavy and does
not conform with CCMAS guidelines.
3. 33.3% of the staff did not benefit from staff
development programme in the last 3 years.
4. Classroom lack smartboards, fans, and the
windows are not well maintained.
5. Inadequate number of current books and journals
in the library.
6. Funding is not adequate.

 

1. The University should ensure that enough time is
allotted to the exam questions.
2. The University should employ more staff in the
senior lecturer cadre.
3. The University should ensure that all staff benefit
from staff development programme.
4. The University should provide enough equip for
the programme.
5. The University should provide more current books
and Journals for the programme.
6. The University should provide more funding for the
programme.

 

The total score for the programme is 86.21%. It scored 25 (89.29%)  in Academic Matters, 32 (91%) in Staffing, 22 (81.48%) in Physical Facilities, 16 (88.89%) in Library. The programme scored 2 (66.67%) in Funding, 3 (100.00%) in Research and Collaborations and (0.00%) in Employers’ Rating. Based on the fact that the programme scored up to 70% and above in all four core components (Academic Matters, Staffing, Physical Facilities and Library), the Panel recommended  FULL accreditation status for the Programme.

B.    APPROVAL BY THE COMMISSION

Based on further analysis of the report, the Commission upholds the recommendation of  FULL accreditation status for the Programme
