2. Practical worls does not cover the curriculum.
3. 11 academic staff (55%) are core to the subject area.
4. 9 academic staff (64.3%) have Ph.D degrees
5. 3 clinical instructors and 2 administrative staff are not adequate for the programme.
6. 66.7% of the academic staff benefitted from staff development within the last 3 years.
7. There is no Anatomy and Physiology laboratories.
8. Cadavar Tissue Processor and Respiratory Physiology Equipment were not availbale in the laboratory.
9. Campus hotspot were not available

 

1. The university should ensure that 4 or more innovative courses are included in the curriculum.
2. The university should ensure that the practical work covers all aspect of the curriculum.
3. The university should ensure that 75% or more of the academic staff are core to the subject area
4. The University should ensure that 70% or more of the academic staff posess Ph.D degrees.
5. The university should ensure that adequate non-teaching staff are provided for the programme
6. The university should ensure that 70% or more of the teaching staff bbenfitted from the staff development programme.
7. Anatomy and Physiology laboratory should be provided.
8. The university should ensure that the listed equpipments is provided for the programme.
10. The university should ensure wider coverage of hotspots within the campus

 

The total score for the programme is 74.80%. It scored 27.5 (78.57%)  in Academic Matters, 24.5 (70.00%) in Staffing, 22 (81.48%) in Physical Facilities, 14 (77.78%) in Library. The programme scored 2 (66.67%) in Funding, 1 (33.33%) in Research and Collaborations and 1 (50.00%) in Employers’ Rating. Based on the fact that the programme scored up to 70% and above in all four core components (Academic Matters, Staffing, Physical Facilities and Library), the Panel recommended  FULL accreditation status for the Programme.

B.    APPROVAL BY THE COMMISSION

Based on further analysis of the report, the Commission upholds the recommendation of  FULL accreditation status for the Programme
