1. Innovative courses were only two in the curriculum
2. Standard of practical work did not cover the curriculum
3. Only 42.3% of academic staff benefited from staff development scheme
4. The percentage of non-teaching who benefited is 8.2% out of 49 staff
5. State of equipment in the classrooms are old, they required urgent replacement

 

1. The university should increase the number of innovative courses to at least four
2. The university should ensure that, the curriculum is adequately cover
3. The university should encourage more academic staff to benefits from the scheme
4. The university should ensure that, more number of non-teaching staff benefits from the scheme
5. The university should ensure that old equipment in the classrooms are replaced with new ones

 

The total score for the programme is 79%. It scored 29 (78%)  in Academic Matters, 25 (71%) in Staffing, 23 (85%) in Physical Facilities, 16 (89%) in Library. The programme scored 1 (33.33%) in Funding, 3 (100.00%) in Research and Collaborations and 2 (100.00%) in Employers’ Rating. Based on the fact that the programme scored up to 70% and above in all four core components (Academic Matters, Staffing, Physical Facilities and Library), the Panel recommended  FULL accreditation status for the Programme.

B.    APPROVAL BY THE COMMISSION

Based on further analysis of the report, the Commission upholds the recommendation of  FULL accreditation status for the Programme
