DEFICIENCIES

REMEDIES

1. The practical work did not cover the curriculum.

2. 12.5 academic staff (61%) are core to the subject area.

3. 11 academic staff (68.8%) have Ph.D degrees.

4. The laboratory equipment met NUC requirement by about 75%.

5. The offices accommodations are inadequate in spaces.
6. There is no campus hotspot in the university though available in the library.

 

1. The university should ensure that the practical work covers the curriculum.
2. The university should ensure that 75% and above of the academic staff are core to the subject area.
3. The University should ensure that all academic staff in the programme possess Ph.D degrees
4. Additional equipments such as Cheatle Forcep, Multifuctional Manikin and Occupational Health Equipment should be provided for the programme.
5. The University should ensure adequate spaces are provided in the offices.
6. The university should ensure wider coverage of the internet wifi within the university.

 

The total score for the programme is 82.80%. It scored 31.5 (85.14%)  in Academic Matters, 30 (85.71%) in Staffing, 22 (81.48%) in Physical Facilities, 14 (77.78%) in Library. The programme scored 2 (66.67%) in Funding, 2 (66.67%) in Research and Collaborations and 2 (100.00%) in Employers’ Rating. Based on the fact that the programme scored up to 70% and above in all four core components (Academic Matters, Staffing, Physical Facilities and Library), the Panel recommended  FULL accreditation status for the Programme.

B.    APPROVAL BY THE COMMISSION

Based on further analysis of the report, the Commission upholds the recommendation of  FULL accreditation status for the Programme
