REMEDIES

1. The curriculum is substantially covered as some of the questions are not up to the required standards.
2. Academic regulations exist in students’ handbook, but do not include rules and regulations governing the conduct of examinations and penalties for examination malpractice.
3. 33% of the academic staff have not benefitted from Staff Development Programme.
4. There is lack of Bible Commentaries in the physical library.
5. The Classrooms lack projectors and public address system.
6. Funding is inadequate for the programme..

 

1. The University should ensure that the curriculum is adequately covered by setting standard questions of five to answer three for Two Credit Units Courses and six questions to answer four for Three Credit Units Courses.
2.The University should review students’ handbook to include regulations governing the conduct of examination and penalties for examination malpractice.
3. The University should ensure that all academic staff benefit from Staff Development Programme.
4. The University should ensure that Books on Bible Commentaries are provided in the physical library for the programme.
5. Functional projectors and public address system should be provided for the programme.
6.The programme should be adequately funded.

 

The total score for the programme is 89.91%. It scored 29 (90.63%)  in Academic Matters, 33 (94.29%) in Staffing, 14 (87.50%) in Physical Facilities, 15 (83.33%) in Library. The programme scored 2 (66.67%) in Funding, 3 (100.00%) in Research and Collaborations and 2 (100.00%) in Employers’ Rating. Based on the fact that the programme scored up to 70% and above in all four core components (Academic Matters, Staffing, Physical Facilities and Library), the Panel recommended  FULL accreditation status for the Programme.

B.    APPROVAL BY THE COMMISSION

Based on further analysis of the report, the Commission upholds the recommendation of  FULL accreditation status for the Programme
