1. 61% academic staff have not benefited from staff development in the last three years.

2. There was no evidence that multidisciplinary approach was being applied to research and collaboration.

3. Funding is inadequate for the programme.

 

1. Deliberate efforts should be made by the university to ensure that more academic staff benefit from staff development programmes in line with the NUC guidelines.
2. There is need for the Faculty to apply a multidisciplinary approach to research and collaboration in line with NUC guidelines.
3. The programme should be adequately funded.

 

The total score for the programme is 94.40%. It scored 37 (100.00%)  in Academic Matters, 30 (86%) in Staffing, 27 (100.00%) in Physical Facilities, 18 (100.00%) in Library. The programme scored 2 (66.67%) in Funding, 2 (66.67%) in Research and Collaborations and 2 (100.00%) in Employers’ Rating. Based on the fact that the programme scored up to 70% and above in all four core components (Academic Matters, Staffing, Physical Facilities and Library), the Panel recommended  FULL accreditation status for the Programme.

Based on further analysis of the report, the Commission upholds the recommendation of  FULL accreditation status for the Programme
