Internal quality assurance is not effective as minutes of meetings and relevant documents were not sighted

The non-teaching staff are not adequate in number for the programme
Only one teaching staff have benefited from the staff development programme

The Laboratory space is not adequate in size and lacks offices for the technologist.

The offices of the lecturers are inadequate in space

 

The University should ensure that internal quality assurance mechanism is effectively put in place fro the programme

The University should ensure that more non-teaching staff are engaged for the programme

The University should ensure that all Non-teaching staff benefit from the staff development programme

The University should ensure that adequate space is provided for the laboratory and offices are available for the technologist in the programme

The University should ensure that adequate number and well furnished offices are provided for the lecturers in the programme

 

The total score for the programme is 88.00%. It scored 36 (97.30%)  in Academic Matters, 30 (85.71%) in Staffing, 19 (70.37%) in Physical Facilities, 18 (100.00%) in Library. The programme scored 2 (66.67%) in Funding, 3 (100.00%) in Research and Collaborations and 2 (100.00%) in Employers’ Rating. Based on the total score of less than 60%, the Panel recommended  DENIED accreditation status for the Programme.

B.    APPROVAL BY THE COMMISSION

Based on further analysis of the report, the Commission upholds the recommendation of  DENIED accreditation status for the Programme
