REMEDIES

1. There were cases of Block Marking in the grading of Students’ Scripts.
2. Curriculum and Instruction II (EDU 411) is not included in the curriculum.
3. Library holdings and currency of books and journals are inadequate in number.
4. Funding for the programme is inadequate.

 

1. Marking Scheme should be well developed
2. The university should ensure that the course ‘Curriculum and instruction II (EDU 411)’ be included in the curriculum.
3. More current books and journals should be provided for the programme.
3. The programme should be adequately funded.

 

The total score for the programme is 89.60%. It scored 35 (94.59%)  in Academic Matters, 33 (94.29%) in Staffing, 21 (77.78%) in Physical Facilities, 16 (88.89%) in Library. The programme scored 2 (66.67%) in Funding, 3 (100.00%) in Research and Collaborations and 2 (100.00%) in Employers’ Rating. Based on the fact that the programme scored up to 70% and above in all four core components (Academic Matters, Staffing, Physical Facilities and Library), the Panel recommended  FULL accreditation status for the Programme.

Based on further analysis of the report, the Commission upholds the recommendation of  FULL accreditation status for the Programme
