DEFICIENCIES

REMEDIES

1. The Programme has only one additional innovative course;
2. Students did not demonstrate adquate knowledge of hard and softs stills of the programme;
3. The proportion of staff core to the programme is 57% only;
4. Only about 28% of the Non-teaching staff have benefitted from staff development programme in the last three years;
5. Laboratory equipment is not Adequate for the programme;
6. Office accommodation is inadequate in space.
7. The university subscribed to only one database (TERAS).

 

1. The Programme should have at least four or more additional innovative coourses in line with NUC BMAS;
2.Students should be able to demonstrate adequate knowlege of hard and sost skill of the programme;
3. The teaching staff proportion core to the programme should be 75% or more in line with NUC BMAS;
4. At least 70% or mor of the Non-teching staff should benefit from staff development;
5. The programme should be adequately equipped in line with BMAS specification.
6. Standard and well furnished staff offices should be provided.
7. the university should subscibe to at least two data bases in addition to open resource materials.

 

The total score for the programme is 80.99%. It scored 30 (90.91%)  in Academic Matters, 29 (100%) in Staffing, 20 (74.07%) in Physical Facilities, 13 (72.22%) in Library. The programme scored 2 (66.67%) in Funding, 2 (66.67%) in Research and Collaborations and 2 (100.00%) in Employers’ Rating. Based on the fact that the programme scored up to 70% and above in all four core components (Academic Matters, Staffing, Physical Facilities and Library), the Panel recommended  FULL accreditation status for the Programme.

B.    APPROVAL BY THE COMMISSION

Based on further analysis of the report, the Commission upholds the recommendation of  FULL accreditation status for the Programme
