1) Practicals conducted in Pharmaceutical Microbiology, Pharmaceutical Chemistry and Pharmacology are inadequate for the semester. 2) Interaction with Students in the programme revealed that they have not acquired expected soft skills appropriate to their levels. 3) Internal quality assurance is not effective. There is no minutes of meetings or records of decisions taken. 4) There are no qualified permanent technologists in the Pharmacology, Pharmacognosy and Clinical Pharmacy Laboratories. 5) No evidence of staff development programme for both the academic and non-teaching staff in the programme. 6) The following essential equipment Kymograph, Stimulator, Langendhorff and Soxhelet Extractor are not available in the Pharmacology Laboratory. Also, there is no Tableting Machine for Pharmaceutics. 7) Academic Staff offices are slightly inadequate in space. 8) There is no evidence of research collaborations by staff and students in the programme.

The total score for the programme is 79.83%. It scored 27 (81.82%) in Academic Matters, 27 (77.14%) in Staffing, 22 (81.48%) in Physical Facilities, 16 (88.89%) in Library. The programme scored 2 (66.67%) in Funding, 1 (33.33%) in Research and Collaborations and 0 (0.00%) in Employers’ Rating. Based on the fact that the programme scored up to 70% and above in all four core components (Academic Matters, Staffing, Physical Facilities and Library), the Panel recommended FULL accreditation status for the Programme.
B. APPROVAL BY THE COMMISSION
Based on further analysis of the report, the Commission upholds the recommendation of FULL accreditation status for the Programme
