DEFICIENCIES

REMEDIES

1. Test and examination questions do not adequately cover the curriculum like in the case of SEN 301 (Object Oriented Analysis and Design) and CYB 301 (Cryptography Techniques).
2. Marking schemes are not well developed as bloc markings were noticed in COS 203, MTH 201 and SEN 201.
3. Practical work does not cover the scope of the curriculum, logbooks and practical manuals are not adequate.
4. Staff offices are not adequate in space.
5. There is no multidisciplinary approach for research and collaboration with other institutions.

 

1. The university should ensure that test and examination question cover the scope of the curriculum for all courses.
2. Marking schemes should be well developed with marks allotted to sections of each question.
3. Depth and scope of each practical course should be adequately covered, logbooks and practical manuals should be provided.
4. The university should provide standard offices for all academic staff of the programme.
5. Research and collaboration should be robust with other institutions and educational projects should be created for the host community.

 

The total score for the programme is 85.12%. It scored 27 (81.82%)  in Academic Matters, 32 (91%) in Staffing, 23 (85.19%) in Physical Facilities, 16 (88.89%) in Library. The programme scored 2 (66.67%) in Funding, 1 (33.33%) in Research and Collaborations and 2 (100.00%) in Employers’ Rating. Based on the fact that the programme scored up to 70% and above in all four core components (Academic Matters, Staffing, Physical Facilities and Library), the Panel recommended  FULL accreditation status for the Programme.

Based on further analysis of the report, the Commission upholds the recommendation of  FULL accreditation status for the Programme
