REMEDIES

1, Practical work conducted did not cover the scope of the curriculum, logbooks and practical manuals are not adequate for the programme.
2. Staff offices are not adequate in space.
3. Limited Hotspot coverage impede access to the available e-resources on campus.
4. Funding is not adequate for the programme.
5. There is no multidisciplinary approach for Research collaboration and there is no educational project created.

 

1. Practical work should adequately cover the depth and scope of curriculum and logbooks and practical manuals should be available for all courses.
2. The university should provide standard offices for academic staff of the programme.
3. The university should ensure adequate coverage of Hotspot on campus to allow access to e-resources available for the programme.
4. The programme should be adequately funded by the university.
5. The university should ensure multidisciplinary approach to research and collaboration with other institutions within and outside the country, and there should be an educational project created to serve the host community.

 

The total score for the programme is 85.95%. It scored 27 (81.82%)  in Academic Matters, 33 (94%) in Staffing, 23 (85.19%) in Physical Facilities, 16 (88.89%) in Library. The programme scored 2 (66.67%) in Funding, 1 (33.33%) in Research and Collaborations and 2 (100.00%) in Employers’ Rating. Based on the fact that the programme scored up to 70% and above in all four core components (Academic Matters, Staffing, Physical Facilities and Library), the Panel recommended  FULL accreditation status for the Programme.

B.    APPROVAL BY THE COMMISSION

Based on further analysis of the report, the Commission upholds the recommendation of  FULL accreditation status for the Programme
