1. Some 300 Level core/compulsory courses are omitted in the curriculum: 2. Interaction between the panel members and students of the programme reveals the students have not acquired the relevant software. MAPLE was not available on the departmental computers. 3. 64.3% of the teaching staff and 50% of non-teaching staff have not benefited from Staff Development Programme for past three years. 4. The departmental laboratory does not have enough software installed and those installed were not licensed. 5. There is no multidisciplinary approach to research. 6. Funding for the programme is inadequate.

1. The curriculum should be reviewed to include all core/compulsory courses omitted in 300 Level in line with the BMAS. 2. The University should ensure that the practical work conducted is of good quality and covers depth and scope of the curriculum 3. The University should ensure that all staff benefit from Staff Development Programme. 4. The University programme should ensure to pay for more softwares like Matlab, Maple etc for the programme. 5. The University should ensure that there is a multidisciplinary approach to research in the programme. 6. The programme should be adequately funded.

The total score for the programme is 85.60%. It scored 32 (86.49%) in Academic Matters, 29 (82%) in Staffing, 24 (88.89%) in Physical Facilities, 17 (94.44%) in Library. The programme scored 1 (33.33%) in Funding, 2 (66.67%) in Research and Collaborations and 2 (100.00%) in Employers’ Rating. Based on the fact that the programme scored up to 70% and above in all four core components (Academic Matters, Staffing, Physical Facilities and Library), the Panel recommended FULL accreditation status for the Programme.
