REMEDIES

1. There are less than four innovative courses in the curriculum

2. Internal quality assurance system exists but is not effective. There is no evidence of meetings held.

3. There are no computer systems for the Public Relations and Advertising laboratories.

4. Books and journals in the areas of Media convergence and Multimedia Journalism and Integrated Marketing Communications are inadequate in number.

5. Funding for the programme is inadequate.

 

1. The curriculum should be enriched by the inclusion of at least four innovative courses without exceeding the maximum credit load.

2. The university should ensure that the quality assurance system should be effective and there should be proper documentation of meetings held.

3. Adequate computer systems with relevant software should be provided for the Public Relations and Advertising Laboratories.

4. More books and journals in the areas of Media convergence and Multimedia Journalism and Integrated Marketing Communications should be procured for the programme.

5. The programme should be adequately funded.

 

The total score for the programme is 92.40%. It scored 32.5 (87.84%)  in Academic Matters, 35 (100.00%) in Staffing, 25 (92.59%) in Physical Facilities, 17 (94.44%) in Library. The programme scored 2 (66.67%) in Funding, 2 (66.67%) in Research and Collaborations and 2 (100.00%) in Employers’ Rating. Based on the fact that the programme scored up to 70% and above in all four core components (Academic Matters, Staffing, Physical Facilities and Library), the Panel recommended  FULL accreditation status for the Programme.

B.    APPROVAL BY THE COMMISSION

Based on further analysis of the report, the Commission upholds the recommendation of  FULL accreditation status for the Programme
