REMEDIES

1. Practical conducted are not of good quality as they do not cover the curriculum and there are no practical manuals or logbooks.
2. Laboratory Technicians and Technologies are not adequate in number and quality.
3. Some essential laboratory equipment such as Oscilloscopes and Mustimeter are not available.
4. Hotspot coverage is not robust on campus and do not allow access to the available e-resources.
5. Funding is not adequate for the programme.

 

1. The university should ensure adequate coverage of the curriculum for practical work and provide practical manuals and logbooks.
2. The university should employ more laboratory technicians and technologies for the programme.
3. The university should procure all essential equipment relevant to the programme.
4. The university should ensure adequate Hotspot coverage on campus to allow access to the available e-resources.
5. The programme should be adequately funded by the university.

 

The total score for the programme is 88.03%. It scored 22 (75.86%)  in Academic Matters, 34 (97%) in Staffing, 24 (88.89%) in Physical Facilities, 16 (88.89%) in Library. The programme scored 2 (66.67%) in Funding, 3 (100.00%) in Research and Collaborations and 2 (100.00%) in Employers’ Rating. Based on the fact that the programme scored up to 70% and above in all four core components (Academic Matters, Staffing, Physical Facilities and Library), the Panel recommended  FULL accreditation status for the Programme.

B.    APPROVAL BY THE COMMISSION

Based on further analysis of the report, the Commission upholds the recommendation of  FULL accreditation status for the Programme
