REMEDIES

1. The Academic staff offices are inadequately furnished especially the Professorial cadre.

2. The teaching equipment in the classrooms and lecture theatres are inadequate.

3. The number of Non-Teaching Staff is inadequate.

4. 66.7% of the Non-Teaching Staff have not benefited from the Staff Development Programme.

5. Research and Collaborations activities are inadequate.

6. Off-line database resource is inadequate.

 

. Standard and adequately furnished academic staff offices should be provided for the programme.

2. Classrooms and lecture theatres should be well equipped.

3. The University should employ more Non-Academic Staff for the programme.

4. The University should encourage the Non-Teaching Staff to benefit from the Staff Development Programme as well as develop themselves for higher tasks and greater productivity.

5. The University should strategically seek for productive and creative areas of research and collaborations.

6. The University library should download and make available on the computer systems as many as possible e-books and e-journals.

 

The total score for the programme is 83.50%. It scored 27 (96.43%)  in Academic Matters, 32 (91.43%) in Staffing, 11.5 (71.88%) in Physical Facilities, 13 (72.22%) in Library. The programme scored 1.5 (50.00%) in Funding, 1 (33.33%) in Research and Collaborations and (0.00%) in Employers’ Rating. Based on the fact that the programme scored up to 70% and above in all four core components (Academic Matters, Staffing, Physical Facilities and Library), the Panel recommended  FULL accreditation status for the Programme.

B.    APPROVAL BY THE COMMISSION

Based on further analysis of the report, the Commission upholds the recommendation of  FULL accreditation status for the Programme
