1. Making schemes were not well developed, some marking schemes were even written with pen and marks were allocated in bulk. 2. Only 64% of academic staff have benefited from staff development programme. 3. Only 3 additional/innovative courses were added to the curriculum and they include; Maritime Safety, Techniques in Maritime Science and Introduction to space Sciences.

1. Marking schemes should be well developed, well typed and bulk allocation of marks should be stopped. 2. All academic staff should participate in staff develpment programmes like Conferences, Seminars, Workshops, degree programmes etc 3. At least 4 additional/innovative courses should be added to the curriculum.

The total score for the programme is 90.08%. It scored 30 (86%) in Academic Matters, 33 (94.3%) in Staffing, 25 (93%) in Physical Facilities, 16 (89%) in Library. The programme scored 2 (66.67%) in Funding, 3 (100.00%) in Research and Collaborations and (0.00%) in Employers’ Rating. Based on the fact that the programme scored up to 70% and above in all four core components (Academic Matters, Staffing, Physical Facilities and Library), the Panel recommended FULL accreditation status for the Programme.

Based on further analysis of the report, the Commission upholds the recommendation of FULL accreditation status for the Programme
