1 Some core courses such as:
a Nigerian People and Culture
b. Principles of project Mgt
c. Introduction to Financial Accounts were not included in the curriculum of the programme.

2. Staff Mix by Rank of 23:30:42 is consistent with the provision of the BMAS/CCMAS only in one category.

3. Office accommodations were not properly furnished with good Air-conditioners, computer system, modern file cabinets.

4. Fire extinguishers provided at the buildings of the programme were not serviced in line with the necessary safety measures outlined in the BMAS.
5. There is no multi-disciplinary approach to research and collaborations in the programme.

 

1. The university should ensure that all the core curriculum stipulated in the BMAS/CCMAS are included in the curriculum of the programme.
2. The university should ensure that the staff mix by rank of 20:35:45 is maintained by the programme in line with the BMAS.
3. Office accommodation especially those of professors and senior lecturers should be well furnished with computers, modern file cabinets, Air- conditioners.
4. Fire extinguishers at the buildings of the programme shhould be well serviced in line with necessary safety measures provided in the BMAS.
5. The university should ensure there is Multidisciplinary approach to research and collaboration in the programme.

 

The total score for the programme is 86.78%. It scored 28 (84.85%)  in Academic Matters, 34 (97.14%) in Staffing, 21.5 (79.63%) in Physical Facilities, 15.5 (86.11%) in Library. The programme scored 2 (66.67%) in Funding, 2 (66.67%) in Research and Collaborations and 2 (100.00%) in Employers’ Rating. Based on the fact that the programme scored up to 70% and above in all four core components (Academic Matters, Staffing, Physical Facilities and Library), the Panel recommended  FULL accreditation status for the Programme.

B.    APPROVAL BY THE COMMISSION

Based on further analysis of the report, the Commission upholds the recommendation of  FULL accreditation status for the Programme
