1. Staff mix by rank of 20:35:45 is consistent with NUC BMAS only in one category (senior lecturer)
2. Academic staff development program is grossly inadequate
3. Non-teaching staff development program is not sufficient
4. Two practical lessons per semester is insufficient
5. Funding is inadequate

 

1. The department should ensure consistency in the three categories
2. The department should encourage more staff development programs
3. Non-teaching staff development programs should be enhanced
4. There is need to increase practical lessons at least 6 per semester
5. Funding for the department should be improved upon

 

The total score for the programme is 91.20%. It scored 35 (94.59%)  in Academic Matters, 27 (77.14%) in Staffing, 27 (100.00%) in Physical Facilities, 18 (100.00%) in Library. The programme scored 2 (66.67%) in Funding, 3 (100.00%) in Research and Collaborations and 2 (100.00%) in Employers’ Rating. Based on the fact that the programme scored up to 70% and above in all four core components (Academic Matters, Staffing, Physical Facilities and Library), the Panel recommended  FULL accreditation status for the Programme.

Based on further analysis of the report, the Commission upholds the recommendation of  FULL accreditation status for the Programme
