REMEDIES

1. The following core courses were not included in the curriculum of the programme;
a. Tax & Tax Management
b. Mgt and information system
c. Business Decision
d. Business Policy.

2. The staff mix by ran of 20:40:40 is consistent with the provision of the BMAS/CCMAS in only one category.
3. Some offices of teaching staff wrere not well furnished with A.C, television sets, chairs and tables, good file cabinets and computers.
4. There was no multidisciplinary approach to research and collaboration.

 

1. The university should ensure all the core courses stipulated in the BMAS/CCMAS are included in the programme curriculum

2. The University should ensure that the staff mix by rank of 20:35:45 is maintained by the programme in compliance with the BMAS/CCMAS.
3. All staff offices especially, professorial and Senior Lecturers offices should be well furnished with good chairs and tables, Air-Conditioners, modern file cabinets, and commuters.
4. The university should ensure the teaching staff engage in research and collaboration outside their profession.

 

The total score for the programme is 81.20%. It scored 28.5 (77.03%)  in Academic Matters, 31 (88.57%) in Staffing, 21.5 (79.63%) in Physical Facilities, 14.5 (80.56%) in Library. The programme scored 2 (66.67%) in Funding, 2 (66.67%) in Research and Collaborations and 2 (100.00%) in Employers’ Rating. Based on the fact that the programme scored less than 70% in any of the four core components (Academic Matters, Staffing, Physical Facilities and Library), the Panel recommended  INTERIM accreditation status for the Programme.

B.    APPROVAL BY THE COMMISSION

Based on further analysis of the report, the Commission upholds the recommendation of  INTERIM accreditation status for the Programme
